For Michael the Flopsy Dongsaeng
So, Sir, Mr. Michael the Flopsy Dongsaeng. I, the queen have some important facts that you must pay attention to, alright? I am queen, and therefor my word is creed.
The first one shall be:
1. The way you care for others, even if they do not deserve it. Your heart has been through a lot this year; more than anything else. It’s been twisted, turned, drained of it’s colour and yet here you are. With your battered arms ready and open for anybody. I’ve even hurt you before, it’s no secret; yet you still care for me as if I’m a fragile being, about to break.
2. The way you love. Your love is pure, it’s gold, it’s diamond. You unconditionally love and expect nothing in return but a simple smile, and a hug. Your love is the purest love of them all, and it’s a wonder why it hasn’t been tainted.
3. Your forgiveness. How you can forgive somebody for all their wrongs. From the bullies, to that one girl, to your friends. How you can twisted and pulled and thinned out but still learn to forgive. Hate does not consume you. It’s truly pure.
4. The way you talk. When you get that slight aristocratic accent, and you act all prim and proper, and you bow with your arm stretched out, as you ask a lady to a dance.
5. The way you encourage others.
6. The way you shyly ask, “Can I call you noona?”
7. The way you would trade your stars, moon, and sun for someone’s smile.
8. That your birthday wish is for your friends to be happy, and nothing else.
9. That you can smile even at the harshest condition’s of life.
10. The way you said, “Noona, if I can paint a picture of you, I would not change one thing about you. Not one thing at all.”
11. The way you stand up for your friends, even if it means getting hurt.
12. And finally, to end the creed. The way your eyes shine when the people you love smile, the way your hugs feel warmth, the way our happiness brings you happiness.
There, the queen has spoken. Happy birthday my dear stable boy; you shall always be my flopsy, my zvada, my angel.
